Lady Knights defeat Hudson to open Suburban League Play

The Nordonia Lady Knights varsity volleyball team opened Suburban League play at Hudson on Tuesday evening with a victory over rival Hudson.  The girls dropped the first game of the match 15-25 but rallied to win the next three 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

Senior Sierra Pla paced the Knights with 15 kills, 6 blocks and 3 aces.  Fellow senior, Natalie Spadaro added 10 kills and 2 blocks while sophomore setter, Faith Banks supported her hitters with 39 assists.  Junior libero, Alex Perney contributed 13 digs and 4 aces to the hard fought victory.

The Lady Knights open the home portion of their Suburban League schedule on Thursday, August 27 when they host the Bulldogs from Stow High School.  Matches are scheduled at 4:30  PM – Freshman, 5:30 PM – JV and 6:30 PM – Varsity.
