2016 State Track Qualifiers

Nordonia student-athletes had a fantastic spring sports season:  The varsity baseball team finished as District Runners Up, the varsity softball team won their third consecutive District Championship, the varsity boys track team won the District Championship and the varsity girls track team won the Suburban League championship.  On top of all that and what I’m most proud of, our 226 spring sports athletes averaged a 3.519 GPA.  In addition to these team accomplishments, we had 13 athletes qualify the state track and field meet earlier this month in Columbus:

Faith Banks, Daniel Banks, Aja Duvall, Gina Eterovich, Katrina Eterovich, Lizzy Gurko, Carmen Licht, Caroline Lohm, Lauren Pugh, Jaylah Sirca, Paige Svendsen, Mallory Tedor, Tony Woods

The girls 4×800 relay team of: Lizzy Gurko, Jaylah Sirca, Gina Eterovich, &  Carmen Licht placed 8th to earn ALL OHIO.

Tony Woods placed 6th in the 100m dash to earn ALL OHO.

Faith Banks placed 5th in the 400m dash to earn ALL OHIO.

The girls 4×400 relay team of: Faith Banks, Carmen Licht, Katrina Eterovich, & Aja Duvall placed 4th to earn ALL OHIO.

Coach Scott Barwidi was named Suburban League Girls Track Coach of the Year.
