Chris Nolan didn’t allow a single run as Nordonia defeated Cuyahoga Falls 1-0 on Monday. Nolan allowed just three hits and struck out eleven, winning the pitchers duel against Rightley. He took the loss for Cuyahoga Falls tossing six innings, allowing one run, zero hits, and striking out three.
The Knights took an early lead in the first inning. Daniel Heiser grounded out, scoring the only run of the game. It was a game full of great defensive plays and came down to a strikeout by Nolan with the tying run on second.
The Knights have a two-game lead in the Suburban (National) Conference over Twinsburg and Hudson heading into a home contest with North Royalton on Tuesday. Nordonia currently sits at 8-3 on the season and 5-0 in the conference.
