NORDONIA HIGH SCHOOL FALL SPECTATOR & TICKETING GUIDELINES

All of these guidelines have been reviewed and approved by the Summit County Board of Health.

Statement of Understanding:

  • Following the ODH Order issued on August 19, 2020, Nordonia High School (NHS) will follow the protocols below regarding spectator attendance and ticketing guidelines for the Fall of 2020 in the sports of football, soccer, and volleyball.  The guidelines below are meant to provide every student athlete the ability to have their immediate family be able to watch them compete this fall.  Availability of tickets will be based on the venue size as denoted in the ODH Order.

 

 

Compliance Officer:

  • The Nordonia Hills City Schools have designated Superintendent Dr. Joe Clark as our compliance officer as deemed by the ODH Order issued on August 19, 2020. The following district administrators will serve as compliance deputies when covering athletic contests:

 

  • Casey Wright, Nordonia High School Principal
  • Jessica Archer, Nordonia High School Associate Principal
  • Anthony Buckler, Nordonia High School Associate Principal
  • Rob Eckenrode, Nordonia High School Athletic Director
  • Jason Lara, Nordonia High School Asst. Athletic Director

 

 Varsity Football:

  • Nordonia’s Boliantz Stadium has a posted seating capacity of 4,000. Therefore, based on the ODH Order, we will sell only 600 tickets (15% of capacity).

 

  • All tickets for varsity football will be sold by the participating schools in a pre-sale format (there will be no sale of tickets at gates for varsity football).

 

  • All HOME team fans should enter the stadium using the Home entrance gate at the South end of Boliantz Stadium. Only those spectators with purchased tickets will be allowed to enter.

 

  • All VISITING team spectators should enter the stadium using the Visitor entrance gate at the North end of Boliantz Stadium. Only those spectators with purchased tickets will be allowed to enter.

 

  • All tickets will be pre-sold at the general admission price of $7.

 

  • ALL FANS MUST WEAR MASKS IN THE VENUE THE ENTIRE TIME.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

  • All home games will be live streamed via NORDONIA HILLS NEWS for viewing at home.

 

  • NO PASSES to games will be accepted this season. Everyone must purchase a ticket in order to have an accurate count on spectators attending.

 

  • If you DO NOT have a ticket, you will NOT be allowed on the premise to watch the game from outside the stadium.

 

  • There will be NO CONCESSIONS SOLD AT FOOTBALL GAMES.  We have worked with many local businesses that on Friday nights they will welcome visitors with possible discounts and portions of sales will be going back to the District.

 

  • The HOME school will be allocated four-hundred twenty-five tickets. Two (2) tickets for every varsity football player (maximum 60 players) & coach, every varsity cheerleader & coach, and every marching band member & director.  Seating pods are marked off in groups of 2.  We blocked off bleacher seats every six feet in order to be compliant with Social Distancing.

 

  • The VISITING school will be allocated a minimum of one-hundred seventy-five (175) tickets to be sold to immediate family members of varsity football players (maximum 60) & coaches and varsity cheerleaders and coaches (Note: marching bands will not be traveling to away contests). Seating pods are marked off in groups of 2.  We blocked off bleacher seats every six feet in order to be compliant with Social Distancing.

 

 Junior Varsity & Freshman Football:

  • Tickets will not be sold for JV and Freshman games.

 

  • Only fans who are immediate family members will be permitted to enter the facility. No more than 600 fans will be admitted.

 

  • ALL FANS MUST WEAR MASKS IN THE VENUE THE ENTIRE TIME.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

  • There will be NO CONCESSIONS SOLD.

 

  • Seating pods are marked off in groups of 2.  We blocked off bleacher seats every six feet in order to be compliant with Social Distancing.

 

Soccer:

  • Nordonia’s Boliantz Stadium has a posted seating capacity of 4,000. Therefore, based on the ODH Order, we will sell only 600 tickets (15% of capacity).

 

  • All tickets will be sold at the general admission price of $7 for adults & $4 for students/senior citizens.

 

  • All tickets for varsity soccer will be sold at the VISITING entrance gate. Ticket sellers will be required to wear masks and gloves.  Fans are encouraged to utilize pre-sale options when available.

 

  • ALL fans should enter the stadium using the VISITING entrance gate at the South end of Boliantz Stadium. Spectators that purchase tickets will be asked to sign in upon at the facility.

 

  • Fans who are immediate family members will be asked to sign in upon arrival at the facility. No more than 600 fans will be admitted.

 

  • ALL FANS MUST WEAR MASKS IN THE VENUE THE ENTIRE TIME.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

  • The home school will allocate (5) tickets for every varsity and JV player & coach for their individual games.  (i.e. JV game only or varsity game only).  As of right now, players and spectators will NOT be permitted to stay for the varsity game as we try to keep the attendance to a minimum.

 

  • The visiting school will allocate five (5) tickets for every varsity and JV player & coach for their individual games.  (i.e. JV game only or varsity game only).  As of right now, players and spectators will NOT be permitted to stay for the varsity game as we try to keep the attendance to a minimum.

 

  • Seating pods are marked off in groups of 2 on both the HOME and VISITOR We blocked off bleacher seats every six feet in order to be compliant with Social Distancing.

 

  • NO CONCESSIONS WILL BE SOLD AT SOCCER EVENTS.

 

  • Fans who are coming for the JV game, should not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to game time (12:30 PM or 4:30 PM).  Fans who are coming for the Varsity game, should not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to game time (2:30 PM or 6:30 PM).  

 

  • If attendance exceeds the ordered capacity of 600, all JV athletes and spectators will be asked to leave via the Home Entrance at the South end of the stadium.  They will NOT BE PERMITTED to stay for the Varsity game unless you have a child/sibling participating in that game.

 

Volleyball:

  • Nordonia’s Hugh Griffith Gymnasium has a posted seating capacity of 1,350. Therefore, based on the ODH Order, we will sell only 200 tickets (15% of capacity).

 

  • JV/Varsity tickets will be pre-sold at the general admission price of $7 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. Admission for freshman games is $3 for adults and $2 for students/senior citizens.
  • All tickets for volleyball games will be sold at the GYMNASIUM entrance gate (west entrance).  Ticket sellers will be required to wear masks and gloves.  Fans are encouraged to utilize pre-sale options when available.

 

  • Fans who are immediate family members will be asked to sign in upon arrival at the facility. No more than 200 fans will be admitted.

 

  • ALL FANS MUST WEAR MASKS IN THE VENUE THE ENTIRE TIME.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

  • The Freshman volleyball games will be held at 4:30PM (weekdays) or 10:00 AM (Saturdays).  JV games will be held at 5:30 PM (weekdays) or 11:30 AM (Saturdays).  Varsity games will begin at 6:30 PM (weekdays) or 1:30 PM (Saturdays).

 

  • After each match is over, we are asking freshman and/or JV parents and athletes to exit the gymnasium through the east doors of the gym. These fans will exit the building through north entrance doors near the old tennis courts.  NO FRESHMAN or JV parent or athlete will be permitted to stay and watch the following game unless they are a parent or sibling of an athlete on the subsequent playing team.

 

  • Seating pods are marked off in groups of 2 on both the HOME and VISITOR We blocked off bleacher seats every six feet in order to be compliant with Social Distancing.

 

  • The home school will allocate two (2) tickets for every Varsity, JV or freshman athlete (maximum 15 athletes/team) & coach.

 

  • The visiting school will allocate two (2) tickets for every Varsity, JV or freshman athlete (maximum 15 athletes/team) & coach.

 

  • NO CONCESSIONS WILL BE SOLD DURING VOLLEYBALL MATCHES.

 

  • NO INVITATIONALS, TOURNAMENTS, TRI’S or QUADS ARE ALLOWED PER THE NEW HEALTH ORDER.
