Youth Cheer Clinic

The Nordonia High School Cheerleaders are sponsoring their annual “CheerleadingYouth Clinic” fund raiser.  We are calling all girls in grades K-6 to come join the fun and learn a dance routine and cheer!   The clinic will be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2018 from 9:30am – 1:30pm.   The cost of the clinic is $25.00 dollars.  The proceeds support the cheerleaders

Collica Athlete of the Week

Junior wrestler, Mitch Collica has been named the Nordonia Athlete of the Week.  Mitch has started the season 13-0, winning the 138 lb. championship at both the Solon Comet Classic and the Northcoast Classic.  In addition, Mitch was named the tournament’s most outstanding wrestler at the Northcoast.  The Knights wrestling team travels to Pymatuning Valley

Positive Coaching Alliance is Coming to Nordonia

Positive Coaching Alliance is a national non-profit developing Better Athletes, Better People through youth and high school sports.  PCA has been working with Nordonia coaches for the past three years; now we feel it’s time to invite athletes and parents.  The Nordonia Athletic Department will be hosting a “free” workshop for parents and athletes on

Wahl Athlete of the Week

Senior sprinter, Andrew Wahl knew last Friday’s Regional Track Meet at Austintown Fitch H.S. would be his final chance to qualify for States so he wasn’t going to let the opportunity fly by.  Needing to finish in the top 4 to qualify, Wahl dove across the finish line to secure the 4th and final spot

Coppedge Athlete of the Week

Senior hurdler and sprinter, Spencer Coppedge has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Spencer won the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles at last week’s Suburban League Track Meet.  He was also a member of the first place 4x200m relay team and the second place 4x400m relay team.

Kovalchick Athlete of the Week

Senior pole vaulter, Ray Kovalchick has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  During last week’s dual meet versus North Royalton, Ray broke the Nordonia school record by clearing 14′ 5″.  In addition, Ray and team mate Tommy Koperna combined to win the pole vault relay at Saturday’s Reynolds’ Relays in Avon.
