It’s that time of year…

The Nordonia Athletic Boosters will one again be sponsoring their “Mulch Madness” fundraising campaign.  See the attached flyer for details and weekends.  As a new idea this year, the Boosters will contribute $10 per day worked toward a student’s participation fees next school year.  Mom & Dad, please encourage your sons & daughters to participate

Senior, Jared Toaz and junior, Christina McFarland will be representing Nordonia High School at this weekend’s OHSAA State Swimming and Diving meet in Canton.  Jared’s 6th place finish in the 200m Individual Medley at the Cleveland State District meet earned him a second consecutive trip to states.  Christina won the 100m Backstroke and placed 2nd

Knight Swimmers Excel at Bedford

The Nordonia Boys and Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving team brought home the combined team championship from last weekend’s Bedford Lions Club Relays.  The boys team finished in second place while the girls team placed first.  The combined finishes resulted in the Knights overall championship!

Toaz honored at state meet!

Nordonia assistant swim coach, Terry Toaz was presented the OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity award at the State Swim Meet this past weekend in Canton.  The critiera for the award are as follows: SEI Coaches Award The Board on Control has approved the establishment of a Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award to be given annually

McFarland earns All Ohio

Sophomore swimmer, Christina McFarland became the first ever Nordonia swimmer to earn All Ohio honors by placing 14th in the 100 yard back stroke at the OHSAA State Meet last weekend.  Congratulations Christina on this tremendous accomplishment!

A great day in the pool!

The Knights district swimming qualifiers achieved times never accomplished by previous Nordonia teams.  Sophomores, Jared Toaz (200 yd. Individual Medley) and Christina McFarland (100 yd. Nordonia Swimmers excel at Sectionals!

The Nordonia boys and girls swim teams turned in outstanding performances at last weekend’s OHSAA Sectional Meet held at the University of Akron Natatorium.  38 individual swims resulted in new personal records!  Sophomore, Christina McFarland set new school records in both the 100 yard Butterfly and the 100 yard Backstroke.  Her performance in the backstroke

McFarland Athlete of the Week

Sophomore swimmer, Christina McFarland has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Christina set school records in three events at the Northeast Ohio Classic held last week at Akron University.  Her records were the following: 54.99 seconds in the 100m Freestyle 1:00.10 in the 100m Butterfly 5:34.06 in the 500m Freestyle Congratulations
