Lady Knights Cross Country at it Again!

The Nordonia Lady Knights cross country team surprised the field by winning the OHSAA Regional Meet at Boardman High School this past Saturday.  The team was led by seniors, Jaylah Sirca and Dana Risley and sophomore, Lizzy Gurko each with top 20 finishes.  As a result of their win, the team qualified for the OHSAA

Vasarhelyi Named Athlete of the Week

Freshman cross country runner, Kayla Vasarhelyi placed second at the OHSAA District Cross Country Meet last Saturday thus earning the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Kayla’s finished paced the Lady Knights team to a District Runner-Up finish and advanced the team to Regional’s at Boardman High School.

Sirca named Athlete of the Week

Nordonia senior cross country runner, Jaylah Sirca has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Jaylah placed 6th at the Medina Cross Country Festival with a personal best time of 19:27 leading the Lady Knights team to a second place overall finish.  Congratulations Jaylah!

Korodi and Zaborszki finish in top 25

The Nordonia Mens Cross Country Team placed 11 out of 22 teams at the Medina Cross Country Festival. Under overcast skies and cool, windy conditions the Knights top performer was Senior Charlie Korodi with a 6th place finish with a time of 16:26. Lady Knights Win 3rd Straight Title

Thew Nordonia Womens Cross Country team won their 3rd straight invitational! After securing the team titles at Boardman and Strongsville the ladies added Medina to the list of championships with an 89 pts to 106 pts win over Suburban League rival Green.The Lady Knights placed 5 runners in the top 24 to secure the championship.

Lady Knights Surprise #4 Ranked Perrysburg

Lead by Heather Ross record breaking performance the Knights ran away with the team title at the Fleet Feet Strongsville Invitational. Nordonia beat Perrysburg 89 to 120, the States 4th ranked team in the recent OATCCC Coaches Poll. Heather finished 2nd overall with a school record time of 19:05.48. The Lady Knights also got strong


The Nordonia Womens Cross Country Team place 1st out of 34 teams a the Spartan Invitational hosted by Boardman High School. The Knights where lead by Seniors Leah Vasarahelyi and Heather Ross, they placed 9th and 11th overall with times of 19:19 and 19:21. The Nordonia Girls Cross Country Team placed 3rd at the Tiffin Carnival behind Centerville and Perrysburg the number 2 and 3rd ranked teams in Division 1.
