Congrats Swimming and Diving District Qualifiers!

McFarland Named Athlete of the Week

Senior swimmer, Christina McFarland has been named the Nordonia High School Athlete of the Week based on her performance at last weekend’s OHSAA District Swim Meet.  Christina won the District Championship in the 100 yard Backstroke and 3rd in the 100 yard Butterfly.  Based on her performance, Christina has qualified for her third consecutive OHSAA

McFarland Breaks Sectional Meet Record

Last Saturday at the OHSAA Sectional Swim hosted by the University of Akron, senior swimmer Christina McFarland broke the meet record in the 100 yard Butterfly.  McFarland a two-time state qualifier also won the 100 yard backstroke at Sectionals.  Christina advanced to this coming weekend’s OHSAA District meet at Cleveland State University in both events.

Senior, Jared Toaz and junior, Christina McFarland will be representing Nordonia High School at this weekend’s OHSAA State Swimming and Diving meet in Canton.  Jared’s 6th place finish in the 200m Individual Medley at the Cleveland State District meet earned him a second consecutive trip to states.  Christina won the 100m Backstroke and placed 2nd
