Positive Coaching Alliance is Coming to Nordonia

Positive Coaching Alliance is a national non-profit developing Better Athletes, Better People through youth and high school sports.  PCA has been working with Nordonia coaches for the past three years; now we feel it’s time to invite athletes and parents.  The Nordonia Athletic Department will be hosting a “free” workshop for parents and athletes on

Maciejowski Athlete of the Week

Junior shortstop, Alexi Maciejowski has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Alexi hit .450 with 2 HR’s, 9 RBI’s and 4 Stolen Bases including a grand slam homer at Stow.  The Lady Knights finished the week 4-1 record with wins over Hudson, Stow and Mayfield.

Summer Youth Camps

The Nordonia Athletic programs will once again be hosting youth camps this summer.  The coaching staffs and varsity athletes from each program will work with campers to develop knowledge and skills of each particular sport.  Dates for each camp are as follows: June 6-8 – Boys Basketball June 13-16 – Volleyball June 20-22 – Girls

Lady Knights Advance!

The Nordonia Lady Knights softball team advanced to the District Championship game for a third consecutive season by defeating Solon 7-4 on Monday evening.  After falling behind 4-0, the Knights rallied for three runs in the third, another in the fourth and closed out the scoring with three runs in the bottom of the sixth

Groff Athlete of the Week

Different sport, different season, same results!  Senior shortstop, Holly Groff has been named the Wascovich-Lake Shore Insurance Athlete of the Week.  Holly exploded at the plate during the first week of the season hitting .538 with 2 singles, 3 doubles and 2 home runs.  She also had 10 RBI’s and scored 8 runs as the

District Champs Again!

The Nordonia Lady Knights softball team continued their strong season by repeating as Solon District champions.  The girls defeated Austintown Fitch 6-5 in the district semi-finals and Warren Howland 3-2 in the finals.  Suburban League Champions, the team’s overall record stands at 22-6 on the season.  The Knights advance to the OHSAA Regional tournament on
